When should we contact you about our wedding cake?
The sooner, the better! I take a limited number of clients to ensure every cake gets the time and attention it deserves. Once you have your venue or planner booked, reach out to check availability. A good rule of thumb is 6-9 months in advance, but more time gives us extra room to refine flavors and designs. Working with a quick timeframe? If I can make it happen seamlessly, I’d love to —just ask!
What are our flavor options?
This is your cake, and that includes the flavors! Instead of a set menu, I offer a mix-and-match list so you can create a combination that truly excites you. Have a favorite dessert from a special trip or a family recipe you love? I’m happy to craft flavors inspired by your story. Some of my most popular cakes include marble, lemon lavender, brandy poundcake, almond sour cream, and butter pecan. Past couples have even requested olive oil cake, chocolate bourbon cake, and goat cheese buttercream! So tell me—what flavors light you up?
What about gluten free, vegan or dairy-free options?
When requested, I can accommodate special dietary restrictions including gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan cakes and deserts for couples and their guests who follow restricted diets but are not medically at risk or severely allergic. My kitchen is not gluten, nut, soy or dairy free, so there is always a risk of cross-contamination. For those with significant dietary restrictions, I am happy to refer you to local bakeries specializing in these cakes and desserts.
I found a photo of a cake I love, can you replicate it?
Finding images that grab your attention is a great starting point! Rather than replicating another artist’s work, we'll use those ideas as a springboard to create something uniquely yours. Share your favorite images, colors, textures, and details that excite you, and together we’ll design something original—something that reflects your style, story, and celebration beautifully.
What if I don’t have clear ideas?
No worries—that’s what I’m here for! Many of my couples start with just a feeling or a few scattered ideas, and together, we turn that into a cake that’s completely your own. I love getting to know you—your favorite flavors, the little details that make you smile, and the moments that matter most. Whether it’s a shared love of travel, a special family tradition, or the overall vibe of your wedding, we’ll find inspiration in the things that bring you joy. Can I use fresh flowers to decorate the cake?
Fresh flowers are stunning, but not all of them belong on a cake! Many popular wedding blooms are toxic, and florists use chemicals to keep them fresh — things you don’t want near your dessert. That’s why I’ve chosen not to use fresh flowers on my cakes. Instead, I create breathtaking sugar and wafer paper florals, each one handcrafted with artistry and care. They never wilt, no worries about pesticides, and are so incredibly lifelike that your guests will be in awe. Beauty and peace of mind—no compromises!
